Will BLU Ray Disks make regular DVD's obsolete? If so, when?

Depends on what you mean by obsolete. Blue ray discs provide a more efficient means of doing some jobs so in that sense it has alredy happened. but since DVDs did not kill CDs the same way CDs killed phonograph discs BLU Ray probably will not kill off DVDs.
