What is this movie I am trying to think of?

I don't remember the actors. I thought it was Dustin Hoffman, but I think I'm wrong. The lead character gets out of prison. He goes to a restaurant/bar where he notices the waitress bending over. She notices him. The next scene is them in bed, but the man is silent. The woman was surprised by his silent climax. Later on he strikes up a relationship with someone else with whom he falls in love with. She breaks him of the silence problem. The name of the movie I think is the name of a woman and the name of a man.... i.e. "blank and blank". I believe this movie was made somewhere in the 80's or 90's. Any ideas?
